Revolution Electric Cars is based in San Luis Obispo, CA and is the only NEVcompany to sell a car that is capable of being driven on a freeway. Unlike most NEVs, REV is a legitimate car that has been in production for several years.

An A/C motor is used in the REV car. A/C motors require less current and provide more torque.

Lead Acid batteries make up the default configuration for the REV

[edit] Transmission
The Revolution cars were converted from Manual transmissions. Electric motors have 100% torque at 0 RPM, there is no need to shift gears. Thus there is merely Forward and Reverse.

Based on a Chinese company's original design Revolution provides all three vehicles with a standard 72V system, using Lead Acid batteries.

Revolution offers two models of EV the Spark and the Candi. These two vary primarily in optional packaged equipment. The Spark is the High End model, where as the Candi is the Entry Level model

Although both Lead Acid and Li-ion technologies are available for these vehicles, it is unknown as to whether any units models have been sold using the Li-ion batteries.
